On first arrival in Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, received by our Epic Adventures staff and guide for short transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu. After a short refreshing rest in your room then join with other group members for trek briefing, our expert guide will provides full information regarding the trek, culture, tour of Kathmandu at places of interest.
Evening a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurants with local folk cultural program entertains, while you have dinner.
Start our adventure with interesting drive towards Langtang Himal area, journey takes you past lovely farm villages and town, from warm climate of Trisuli Bazaar to cooler Himalaya hills at Dhunche, the headquarter town of Rasuwa district and the entrance of Langtang National Park, the first mountainous park of Nepal established in the mid-1970. Famous for rare flora / fauna and habitat of endangered Red Panda. From Dhunche on downhill to Syabrubesi village for first overnight stop around Langtang Himal area.
Morning having good breakfast, start the first walk of the adventure heading towards a bridge, and then route climbs over farm hills and forested area to reach a small place River side with few smaller huts serving as tea house and shops. Here for short refreshing break, and then continue trek entering cool shaded forest of tall rhododendron, oaks, pines, magnolia and fir trees with some Bamboo. Slowly walk comes to an end on reaching a small clearing at Lama Hotel, situated within beautiful forest and by the raging Langtang Khola / River.
Lama Hotel with few good simple lodges to offer for the trekkers, check into one its nice cosy lodge for overnight stop.
Morning starts with slow climb into dense tree lines following the river gorge upstream, past few small settlements and cattle herder temporary shelters to Ghoretabela. A lovely spot amidst forest surroundings, a place with few lodges and restaurants, a perfect place for lunch break.
After Ghoretabela, afternoon walk into forested path with gradual up and crossing streams to reach at Langtang Village for overnight stop. Langtang village was badly damaged and many life was lost from the big Earthquake of April and May 2015 that shook mid-east and west Nepal.
The whole village was wiped out, slowly over the years this nice place is getting back to normal as it was before. Check into one of its fine lodge, afternoon free for leisure walk around the village, here you can witness memorials of local and trekkers who lost their life from the earthquake.
Morning from Langtang village a short climb then heading past some prayer walls and monuments, as walk enters a scenic Langtang valley surrounded by array of high snow mountain range of Langtang Himal, as you reach overnight halt at Kyanjin as well for lunch, a lovely spot located in the heart of Langtang Valley.
Afternoon free to relax and marvel the magnificent scenery that encircles the Lovely spot of Kyanjin and the valley.
A full free day and free packing, morning after breakfast enjoy hike up the hill for best views of Langtang Himal group of peaks. The top of Kyanjin-Ri and Tsergo-Ri offers excellent panorama of Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Ghengu Liru (Langtang- II 6,571 m) and Kimshun (6,745 m) with Shalbachum (6,918 m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga / Ganja Chuli (5,846 m), and as far towards Gangchempo, Tilman's Fluted Peak. View extends further east to Jugal Himal and ends to Dorje Lakpa (6,980 m). Includes peaks across the border of Tibet, as Langtang Himal forms the great barrier of Nepal and Tibet / China.
Rest of the day relax and explore around the village and its small monastery and Cheese factory from the product of local Yak milk.
From Kyanjin retrace the journey back to Lama Hotel, a long downhill into dense tree lines to reach overnight stop at Lama Hotel, after a wonderful time on high scenic Langtang valley at Kyanjin.
After pleasant overnight at Lama Hotel, with the sound of river, morning on same route for a while till River Side, from here climb takes you to steep climb for few hours to Thulo Syabru village. Located on a high ridge, where houses are lined close to each stone and wooden huts. Check into a nice lodge, and enjoy the afternoon exploring the village and witness impressive culture of Buddhism as well the monastery situated above from the lodge.
From Thulo Syabru village, morning starts with climb above the monastery heading into deep forest, with views of Ganesh and Manaslu Himal towards north west. As walk follows up past few settlement with small tea shops the reach on a wide grassy field, from here on nice pleasant path into lovely woods to overnight stop at Sing Gompa, also called Chandanbari. A small village with fine lodges and a small cheese factory, The Sing Gompa name, due to its old monastery on top of the village, Gompa for monastery in Tibetan origin language.
Today adventure reach you to our second destinations at holy Gosainkund glacial lake, from the lodge at Sing Gompa a short climb and then on gradual path entering a forested path to reach an open exposed area. From here a steep climb as tree lines gives away for short rhododendron and juniper bushes. As climb continues past few small settlements with shops and tea-house, facing spectacular panorama of Langtang, Ganesh, Manaslu as far towards Annapurna Himalaya in the far west. Climb then leads on top a ridge of Laurabinaya with short descend on nice stone path coming across a Bhairab lake, then ending the day walk on reaching Gosainkund and its serene holy lake.
A famous religious place for Hindu followers, in the festival time called Jani Purnima falls on Full Moon in the month of August wet monsoon season.
Thousands of pilgrims visits here for pray and dip in the icy lake, to cleanse the sins of a hundreds life-time, the festival changing of holy threads to new ones for Hindu males. A place with a small shrine of Lord Shiva near the bank of the lake. Overnight in a small simple lodge facing views of the lake and it’s rugged mountain surroundings.
From Gosainkund, morning walk on pleasant path heads towards the eastern bank of the lake, and then starts climb on rocky path of huge boulders past small ponds of Surya and Saraswati Kund. As climb continues reaching on top the highest point of the adventure at 4,610 m high. Enjoy grand views of surrounding beautiful landscapes with distant peaks towards north east.
After a short rest on top, a long descend to Phedi the base of Gosainkund Pass, a small place with few huts serving as simple lodge and tea-house. Possible lunch stop and then afternoon walk leads on winding path and the back into green vegetation and tall juniper and rhododendron trees. Slowly walk ends for the day reaching Ghopte Odar, a small settlement with few simple lodge, situated on route Helambu area and to Kathmandu. Ghopte Odar the word for an overhanging rock caves, makes a fine shelter for early pilgrims and local travelers as well at present.
Staying overnight in an isolated spot at Ghopte, from here onward within Helambu area, the home of Hyalmo people similar to Sherpa and Tamang tribes follows Buddhism culture and custom. As walk continues walking out of forest towards a high ridge of Thadepati for lunch stop, a high spot offers super views of snow mountain range. Afternoon a long descend past a wide grazing field of Mange Goth and then into dense forest to reach at Kutumsang village for Overnight in of its fine lodge.
Last day in Kathmandu and in Nepal, as per your international flight time our staff and guide will accompany you for a short drive to international airport for final departure, after a memorable experience and great adventure Langtang Valley & Gosainkund / Laurabinaya-La Pass Trekking around amazing Nepal Himalayas.
The Langtang Valley and Gosainkund trek was a perfect combination of natural beauty and cultural experience. Laurabinaya-La Pass was challenging, but the views were worth every step. Gosainkund Lake felt magical, and the Langtang Valley was incredibly scenic. The company did a fantastic job organizing everything, and our guide made sure we were well-prepared for the high-altitude trek. Highly recommended.
This trek was absolutely incredible! From the lush Langtang Valley to the serene Gosainkund lakes, the landscapes were constantly changing and stunning. Laurabinaya-La Pass was tough but the views from the top were unforgettable. The company took care of all the logistics and our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this trek enough for anyone looking for a mix of challenge and beauty.
