Evening a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurants with local folk cultural program entertains, while you have dinner.
A day in Kathmandu for trek preparation and tour at places of great interest around best historical and cultural places. Our city tour guide will take you to famous areas listed in World Heritage Sites and then back to hotel after a wonderful time at sightseeing tour with time to get organize and preparation for next day adventure Around Dhaulagiri & French Pass trek.
Morning as per size of a group a drive either in a car, coach or in regular tourist bus, ride takes you on Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. An interesting drive where one can witness lively scenery of Nepal beautiful landscapes with farm villages and towns. As drive continues views of distant snow mountain range and then finally reach Pokhara. A scenic city in the shadow of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya with majestic Machhapuchare Himal the famous Fish Tail Peak.
On arrival at Pokhara, check in a nice hotel for overnight stop located near the Phewa Lake side with time for leisure stroll around lined with fancy shops, stores, restaurants and many nice hotels.

Enjoy hearty breakfast and then an exciting day drive of six hours to reach our starting point of the trek. Morning on leaving Pokhara city outskirt following the Pokhara-Baglung highway, facing grand views of Annapurna Himalaya. As drive continues around low warm country within farm village to reach Beni.
The headquarter of Mygdi district where the river with same name follows by the town of Beni, from here drive follows Mygdi River upstream to reach the trekking point at Darbang. A farm village slowly turning into a town, check into the best available local lodge for overnight stop.
From Darbang there are two ways the old and the new trekking route, the old leads to Mure a large Magar village, one of the most populated tribe of Western and all hill region areas of Nepal. Our trail leads on the newly built trail walk follows Mygdi River upstream for near five hours and then camp at a small rural farm village called Kamala, situated close to the river bank. From here onwards in tented camps with all camping facilities provided with separate kitchen unit of cook, kitchen staff, and guide with strong porters to carry all the baggage and camping equipment with foods for the trek.
Follow the river for sometimes to reach Juge, a small farm village in between Bagar and Mure villages. After having lunch served by our camping cook, climb leads to a steep hill and then on gradual path, finally leads downhill at Bagar. The last village on route Dhaulagiri base camp and Hidden Valley, camping is set by the school yard.
Here with time for short walk around the village and catch the local village simple life and culture.
Morning after packing and having breakfast leave the last human settlement for complete wilderness. On leaving Bagar climb towards a high ridge within dense forest of rhododendron, oaks and pine with some bamboo. Then descend to a small clearing in the middle of woods at Dovan.
From here onwards into deep woodland crossing few small wooden bridges over tributary streams, heading higher in the shade of tall tree lines then reach a small clearing amidst forest to camp at a place called Chartare, where some local calls with different names for the same place.
Morning walk on clearing the camp site, after few hour tall trees and vegetation slowly disappears as you reach a wide glacial valley known as Italian Camp, the name tagged, this was the spot where Italian Mt. Dhaulagiri Expedition way back in 1970’s camped and hence it is known as Italian Camp. Located on the bottom of Dhaulagiri Mountain southern flank. From here walk over moraine and glaciers with short climb to a ridge with some grass land to camp for overnight known as Pakhaban or Japanese Camp. From the camp grand views of Putha Huinchuli, Mana-Pathi with Dhaulagiri south range with huge wall face of Tsaurabong Peak.
After a pleasant overnight camp, morning walk leads towards huge glacier within a gorge, from the high trail one can look down below where glacier feeds the source of Mygdi River, as walk continues over moraine and iceberg in few section.
Climb continues heading towards base camp, from here onwards needs team work to find the right path around glaciated area, after a strenuous climb and walk then reach a rocky place open field with moraine dunes where Dhaulagiri base camp located for overnight camp, the main of the highlight of the adventure.
The base camp placed right beneath the towering North West Face of Dhaulagiri-I with views of notorious Ice Fall close to our campsite.
After an exciting adventure with grand views of Dhaulagiri-I (8,167 m) with Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri II (7,751 m.), Dhaulagiri III (7,715 m.) and Dhaulagiri IV (7,618 m.). Morning on leaving the base camp walk leads towards the highest spot of the trek to cross over French pass at above 5,360 m high, the pass marked with rock cairns and Buddhist prayer flags.
From the pass enjoy super views of surrounding high snow peaks and head downhill to a wide open grassy field at Hidden Valley for overnight camp.
Enjoy the views from the camp at Hidden Valley camp of Sita Chuchura, Mukut Himal, and Tashi Kang 5,386 meters, Tukuche Peak with Dhaulagiri -I.
A great spot for rest day, we have set a free day as contingency to maintain the itinerary days, in case of delay due to bad weather and trail condition. Which can happen sometimes even in the best season of the year.
On rest day, one can enjoy having rest or explore the unexplored areas of Hidden Valley where few group of trekkers and mountaineers seldom visits this wild country.
After a pleasant overnight and rest day in Hidden Valley morning walk starts on a gradual winding path for some hour to reach at the bottom of Thapa or Dhampus pass which is above 5,244 m high. After a short rest last climb to the top of the pass rewards you with stunning views of Annapurna Himal and Nilgiris peaks.
From the top a long downhill to Alu Bari or Yak Kharka for overnight camp, as well back within green vegetation of Juniper, Burberry and rhododendron bushes with views of high snow peaks.
Today enjoy the last day of trekking, as morning takes you further downhill towards Kaligandaki River valley, where lovely Marpha village located. After breakfast and clearing the an hour walk leads you into tall tree lines and then a big drop of 1,200 m downhill to Kaligandaki river valley, where our pleasant day walk ends at Mustang area and Kaligandaki River valley.
On reaching Marpha, one of the most charming villages with white washed houses, and nice kept lodges. At Marpha celebrate and enjoy the last night party with local apple products cider, brandy and juice this area. As this region famous for delicious apples and the products.
Today our great adventure concludes, having an early breakfast a short drive takes you to Jomsom airport, which is also a headquarter town of Mustang district. Located high above Kaligandaki River, as well on the Old Trans Himalaya Salt Trade and Caravan Route to Tibet that extends beyond Upper Mustang.
From Jomsom as per the flight time, a short swift flight of less than 30 minutes reach at scenic Pokhara, during airborne enjoy fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya range. On arrival at Pokhara airport transfer to your hotel by the lake side for last overnight stop in the shade of massive Annapurna Himalaya.
Morning after a good breakfast an overland on the same scenic highway, where drive takes you past farm country, villages and towns as journey continues on leaving the Trisuli River behind where drive takes you on winding up to reach the suburb of Kathmandu valley. Enjoy the last hour drive as you enter into hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu, afternoon free at leisure for individual activities.

Last day in Kathmandu and in Nepal, as per your international flight time our staff and guide will accompany you for a short drive to international airport for final departure, after a memorable and fabulous adventure Around Dhaulagiri & French Pass Trekking and around amazing Nepal.
