After a short refreshing rest in your room then join with other group members for trek briefing, our expert guide will provides full information regarding the trek, culture, tour of Kathmandu at places of interest.

Today you leave Kathmandu and drive to Jiri, also known as the Switzerland of Nepal. It will be a long drive to Jiri but you get to enjoy scenic views of the Sun Koshi River along with the picturesque hills and terraced fields attached to the gorge. Jiri is a small town in eastern Nepal and the ancient gateway to the Khumbu region. Overnight at lodge.
The trek to Everest Base Camp begins today. You walk through beautiful villages and farm fields before proceeding to descend from Deurali, where you can see many prayer flags and decorated Mani walls. This indicates your entry into the region with Buddhist culture. An easy descent through the forest takes you to the settlement of Bhandar. Overnight at lodge.
On a steep trail, cross the villages of Kinja and Nimar and then ascend towards Lamjura Danda. During this ascend, you pass through lush rhododendron, fir, pine, maple and birch forests. Cross Lamjura La (3530m) and descend along the ridge following Taktor River to arrive in the beautiful village of Junbesi, inhabited by the Sherpas. Overnight at lodge.
Cross Junbesi Khola on a wooden bridge and then trek through the forest on a winding trail to arrive in Salung. From Salung, you descend to Ringmo Khola and then make a short climb to Taksindu La (3870m). Then descend along the conifer and rhododendron forests and terraced fields to reach Nunthala. Views of Thamserku (6608m), Mera (6476m), and Kusum Khangkaru (6367m) start to appear in the skyline. Overnight at lodge.
Today’s trail takes you to the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River. After crossing the bridge, you follow the trail through terraced fields and several small villages. Then, walk through the forest and climb to reach Jubhing. After lunch in Jubhing, continue to trek through the forest until you reach Khari Khola, the village of Mani walls. Overnight at lodge.
At Surkhe first overnight around Khumbu region, morning after breakfast walk up to Chowri Kharka where trail from Lukla and Jiri joins on route to Namche Bazaar and beyond, as walks lead past Sherpa farm villages with views of Kwangde and Kusum Khanguru peaks.
After a pleasant walk on scenic path then ending the day at Phakding village for overnight stop in a nice lodge close to glacial Dudh Kosi River.
From Paiya, you climb upwards and cross Chutok La (2945m). Further, you reach Surke and then walk steadily with the view of Lukla to reach the bridge over Kamsyawa River. Then you pass several monasteries and Chortens along the Sherpa villages to finally arrive in Phakding. Overnight at lodge.
Follow the Dudh Koshi River and cross the suspension bridges over the river to arrive in the village of Monjo. Monjo is a small village situated at the entrance gate to Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing the park’s boundary, you descend and gradually walk to Jorsalle. You then ascend alongside Dudh Koshi River to arrive in Namche Bazaar, the commercial hub of Khumbu region. Overnight at lodge.
Today is a rest day in the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. You can hike up to the beautiful village of Khumjung to have a look at the Yeti skull displayed in its monastery. The mountains look even better from Khumjung. You then hike back to Namche Bazaar and visit the Sherpa Museum to get a better insight into their rich culture and lifestyle. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Today you descend for a couple of hours until you reach Imja Khola. From there, you go further to the village of Pangboche. The trail continues into isolated yak pastures and fields then goes to Pheriche. The right trail from there will take you to Dingboche. Amazing views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8414m), and Everest (8848m) can be seen from the beautiful Sherpa village of Dingboche. Overnight at lodge.
his is another day for acclimatization. You can either take a full rest or explore the areas. If you are interested, you can trek to Chhukhung for an alluring view of the snow-capped mountains like Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), and Ama Dablam (6856m), among others. Then you return to Dingboche for the overnight stay.
Trek along a broad valley floor to Dughla passing the check post in Pheriche. Above Dughla is a line of Chortens, established in the memory of mountaineers who passed away on their way to Everest (8848m). You then climb alongside Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche, situated at the base of Lobuche range. Overnight at lodge.
Today is the day you reach Everest Base Camp. You ascend and descend mostly on a glacier path which makes it a tricky climb. As you reach the base camp, you can enjoy the incredible melt patterns and ice tower views of the upper part of Khumbu Glacier. The views of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Khumbuste (6665m), Nuptse (7861m), and Pumori (7165m) along with several other snowy mountains are amazing from Everest Base Camp. From the base camp, you trek back to Gorakshep. Overnight at lodge.
You wake up early in the morning and hike to Kala Patthar. From the top of Kala Patthar, you can witness the first rays of the sun touch the tip of Mount Everest and give the beautiful snowy mountain an orange tint. After enjoying the view of Everest (8848m) and other mountains of the Khumbu region, you head back to Gorakshep and have breakfast. From there, you retrace your steps back to Pheriche. Overnight at lodge.
Descend through a hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees. Then cross a bridge over Imja Khola. You then rapidly descend through the pine forest past many villages to eventually reach Sanasa. Enjoying the views of Thamserku (6608m), and Kangtega (6685m), you make a final descent on a forested trail to reach Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Today you retrace your trail to Lukla. It is mostly a downhill trek alongside Dudh Koshi River. Cross the high suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River to arrive in Jorsalle. Cross more bridges and villages to reach Phakding. The uphill trail from Phakding is dotted with monasteries, Chortens, and painted Mani walls until reaching Lukla. Overnight at lodge.
Take a morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. You can enjoy the scenic view of the beautiful landscapes and high mountains from above. Our company van will come to pick you up at the airport. After some rest at the hotel, you can go shopping or chill at the bars in Thamel. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
After a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, our company representative will drop you to the airport from where you take the flight back home.
Choosing the classic route from Jiri to Everest Base Camp was the best decision! This trek allowed us to experience the quieter parts of Nepal, with charming villages like Junbesi and Khari Khola along the way. The trekking company’s organization was perfect, and our guide made sure we enjoyed every moment. The gradual rise in altitude helped a lot, and the final days, reaching Everest Base Camp and climbing Kalapatthar, were unforgettable highlights.
The trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp was longer but absolutely worth it! It gave us a unique opportunity to see rural Nepal and avoid the crowds on the Lukla route. The guide and porters were amazing, providing excellent support and making sure we acclimatized properly. Passing through iconic places like Namche Bazaar and Tengboche Monastery made the journey even more special, and standing at Everest Base Camp was a dream come true
