On first arrival in Kathmandu and Nepal international airport, received by our Epic Adventures staff and guide for short transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu. After a short refreshing rest in your room then join with other group members for Lobuche trek and climb briefing. Our expert guide will provides full information regarding the trek, culture, tour of Kathmandu at places of interest.
Evening a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurants with local folk cultural program entertains, while you have dinner.
A day in Kathmandu for trek preparation and tour at places of great interest around best historical and cultural places. Our city tour guide will take you to famous areas listed in World Heritage Sites and then back to hotel after a wonderful time at sightseeing tour with time for preparation for next day adventure to Lobuche Peak Trek & Climb.
Morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for short scenic flight to Lukla, a smaller model aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) enjoy 30 minutes flight overlooking Himalayan peaks including Mt. Everest.
On landing at Lukla small airstrip named Tenzing - Hillary airport, from Lukla few hour walks downhill past Sherpa farm villages with views of Kwangde and Kusum Khanguru peaks. After a pleasant first day walk then reach Phakding village for overnight stop in a nice local lodge close to glacial Dudh Kosi River.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast as this will be a long day to Namche Bazaar, walk starts on gradual path, following the river upstream crossing bridges then enter Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo village.
Sagarmatha a Nepalese name for Everest, the Sherpa call Chomolungma in both languages means 'a Great Mother' from here a pleasant walk on a river bed with climb for some hour within forest lined with rhododendron and pine trees facing lovely views of snow peaks, as walk takes you to Namche Bazaar for two overnight stops. Namche one of the largest village a size of a town, lined with well-stocked stores and shops with many good restaurants, café’, banks and ATM facilities. Includes view of Kwangde and Tharmasarku.
A rest day at Namche Bazaar a perfect height for acclimatization at 3,440 m high important to spend extra nights at this altitude, before heading higher areas.
At Namche to support acclimatization taka a short scenic hike above Namche for grand views of Everest and other high peaks.
Rest of the day relax and take a stroll on the streets of Namche an interesting place to browse around, especially on Saturday Market which is held once a week.
On your way to Dhole from Namche, you will get to witness the beautiful forests of rhododendron with the snow-capped Himalayas on the backdrop. The trail is somewhat steep on some part of the trek but the rest of the trek is comparatively easy and comfortable. You will also pass through the pastureland of yaks that the Himalayan people rear. Overnight in Dhole.
Passing through steep trails and ascending for about 5 hours from Dhole takes you to Machhermo. You trek above the gorge of Dudh Koshi River on quiet trails with meadows and juniper bushes accompanied by emerging views of Cho Oyu (8188m) to reach Machhermo. Overnight in Machhermo.
You will pass the Chortens in Machhermo and climb uphill alongside the Dudh Koshi Gorge to reach the base of Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal Himalayas. Climbing on the bank of the glacier, you will reach the first Gokyo Lake followed by the second one. A steep uphill climb on the moraine takes you to the third Gokyo Lake, Dudh Pokhari, beside which the quaint village of Gokyo rests beautifully. Overnight in Gokyo.
Today you will explore Gokyo valley and relish the tranquil lakes of the Gokyo freshwater system. You can also hike up to Gokyo Ri (5360m) for an astonishing view of the Gokyo valley and the Gokyo lakes along with a wide panorama of the high mountains including Cho Oyu (8188m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), and many others. You can also hike further up to the fourth and fifth Gokyo lakes which serve even mesmerizing views of the mountains. Overnight in Gokyo.
You descend on a steep and slippery trail through Ngozumpa Glacier and later descend on its bank to reach Drganag. From Dragnag, you will make a steep ascent to reach Thangnak. With the panoramic view of the Mahalangur Himalayan range and the great looking Glacier, the trail to Thangnak is completely mesmerizing. Overnight in Thangnak.
Today you trek for long duration through tough blowing wind and snow. You trek through a difficult icy path to reach the top of Cho La Pass (5420m), which serves as a remarkable vantage point to witness the grandiose of Everest (8848m) along with other peaks of the Khumbu region. You then descend steeply to reach Dzongla for the overnight stay.
From Dzongla, you first descend to Dughla via the frozen lake, Chola Tsho. You then climb past a line of tombstones established in the memory of late Sherpas. Afterward, walking alongside Khumbu Glacier on a moraine trail, you reach Gorakshep via Lobuche. You will get a stunning view of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range and many glaciers from Gorakshep. Overnight in Gorakshep.
Today will be your day trip to Everest Base Camp. After 3 hours of walking through the moraines being surrounded by massive glaciers, you will reach the base camp. Standing on the base of the highest peak in the world, you will get a mind-blowing view of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Khumbutse (6665m), Lingtren (6479m), and Pumori (7165m), and so on. Later, descend to Gorakshep for the overnight stay.
You will start the day early to watch the stunning sunrise over the mighty Everest (8848m) and the adjacent mountains from Kala Patthar vantage point. Kala Patthar is considered as the best viewpoint to observe the wide range of Mount Everest (8848m). After spending some quality time in Kala Patthar, you descend to Lobuche via Gorakshep. Overnight in Gorakshep.
The trail to Lobuche Base Camp from Lobuche is filled with many ups and downs through a moraine path. With an unobstructed view of Lobuche East (6119m), you will ascend alongside Lobuche Glacier to reach Lobuche East Base Camp. Overnight at base camp.
Today you will start early for Lobuche High Camp as the climb is somewhat tough. You will continue climbing alongside Lobuche Glacier on a rocky trail to reach Lobuche High Camp. You can practice the climbing techniques and the use of different gears at the High Camp. Overnight in High Camp.
With weather favoring your side, you will climb to the peak of Lobuche East (6119m) today. You will start the climb before dawn and ascend through the ridges on the mountain towards its summit. Follow your climbing guide’s instructions diligently to avoid any mishap. From the top of the peak, you will get a surreal view of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range to fill up the skyline of Khumbu. After the successful summit, you will descend to Lobuche East Base Camp for the night.
After the summit of Lobuche Peak (6119m), you will trek to the village of Pangboche via Dughla, Pheriche, Somare, and several other small Sherpa villages. Pangboche, too, is a small Sherpa village with its distinct culture and lifestyle. In the evening, you can visit the whitewashed Pangboche Monastery with the gorgeous peak of Ama Dablam (6856m) on its backdrop. Overnight in Pangboche.
You start descending to Namche Bazaar which will be your point of stay for the night. The mighty mountain this time becomes smaller with your every stride as you head back to Namche Bazaar. Again you will reach the Gateway to Everest, but this time you will not enter rather exit the Gateway. Overnight in Namche.
You will head back to the airstrips of Lukla via Phakding. The trail to Lukla is full of greenery. You will get to witness various streams and suspension bridges on your way. Not limited to that, you get to enjoy the scenery of the mountains once again as you descend to Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.
You will get to enjoy the 40-minute flight above the mountains and the hills once again on your journey from Lukla to Kathmandu. This day will be your free day and probably your final day in Nepal. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Last day in Kathmandu and in Nepal, as per your international flight time our staff and guide will accompany you for a short drive to international airport for final departure, after a memorable experience and adventure on Lobuche Peak Trek & Climb around amazing Nepal Himalaya.
The entire Lobuche Peak trek was a fascinating journey through Nepal's stunning landscapes. From trekking past Sherpa villages to the technical climb to the summit, the experience was both challenging and rewarding.
