Founder & Team Leader, Epic Adventures Nepal
Shree Ram Adhikari, born in 1981 in Dhading District, Nepal, is the founder and team leader of Epic Adventures Nepal. He has worked in Nepal’s tourism and adventure travel industry since 2006, with experience in trekking, guiding, hospitality, tour operations and mountaineering.
Growing up in Dhading in a family with experience in trekking and guiding, Shree Ram developed an early interest in Nepal’s mountains and tourism industry. After moving to Kathmandu, he began his professional career in the hotel sector, where he gained practical experience in hospitality and guest service.
In 2006, he began working professionally as a trekking guide. Over the following years, he travelled extensively through trekking regions across Nepal, gaining first-hand knowledge of established routes as well as remote mountain areas. He later expanded his experience into tour guiding and mountaineering, completed climbing training at North Face Climbing School, and has climbed several peaks in India reaching elevations close to 7,000 metres.
In 2010, Shree Ram founded Epic Adventures Nepal, a Nepal-based trekking and adventure travel company. His aim was to combine professional trekking services with deeper exploration of Nepal’s mountain regions, including lesser-visited trails and communities beyond the country’s most established trekking routes.
As the company’s founder and team leader, Shree Ram is involved in trip planning, route development, trekking operations and the training and development of guides and other field staff. His experience travelling in Nepal and internationally has also influenced his approach to guest service, responsible tourism and the long-term development of the company.
Beyond tourism, Shree Ram has supported community and education projects in areas including Dhading, Dolakha and Nuwakot. His past involvement has included support for school construction, computer donations for educational programmes and temporary classroom facilities following the 2015 Nepal earthquake.
