Clilmbing Guide
Gombu Sherpa is an experienced trekking professional and mountaineer with more than eight years of hands-on experience in Nepal’s Himalayas. During his career, he has worked across trekking and climbing regions throughout Nepal, developing extensive practical knowledge of high-altitude terrain, mountain weather, expedition logistics, and the challenges involved in operating safely in remote environments.
His mountain experience extends well beyond regular trekking routes. Gombu has participated in climbs on major Himalayan peaks across Nepal, including Mera Peak and Ama Dablam, giving him practical experience on both trekking peaks and more technical mountain terrain. Years spent travelling and working throughout Nepal's mountain regions have also given him strong familiarity with different trail conditions, altitude environments, remote settlements, and expedition approaches.
Gombu has also completed an Advanced Mountaineering Course, strengthening his technical knowledge of mountaineering procedures, climbing equipment, rope systems, high-altitude movement, and mountain safety.
His early experience working as a porter provided an important foundation for his career in the mountains. Carrying equipment and supporting trekking and climbing teams in demanding conditions gave him first-hand understanding of expedition logistics, teamwork, endurance, and the practical requirements of multi-day journeys in the Himalayas.
Today, that combination of trekking experience, climbing experience, formal mountaineering training, and extensive knowledge of Nepal’s mountain regions enables Gombu to provide dependable support to both trekkers and climbing teams.
Resilient, responsible, and highly experienced in mountain environments, Gombu is a valued member of the Epic Adventures Nepal trekking and mountaineering team, contributing practical Himalayan knowledge and professional support to adventures across Nepal.
